Synthetic blood that is called Tru Blood has now been developed as a constant and stable source of food for vampires who have come out of the shadows, integrating themselves openly within human society. The opinion of the public is somewhat split, with the American Vampire League quite open to the vampire integration while others such as Fellowship of the Sun are distrustful. Bill Compton, played by Stephen Moyer, is a vampire who arrives in Bon Temps, a small town in Louisiana, to a lot of wary eyes. Sookie Stackhouse, played by Anna Paquin, is a telepathic waitress who welcomes him. After all, she isn’t quite the norm herself. However, a succession of mysterious happenings following the arrival of Bill gets her into rethinking her position. True Blood is created and produced by Alan Ball, who also created Six Feet Under, and is based on Southern Vampire Mysteries written by Charlaine Harris. Stars include Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, Nelsan Ellis, Jim Parrack, Michael Raymond-James and Alexander Skarsgard.
